The sequence
Know the order before you arrive.
The class moves through the three written exams in sequence, then turns to O&P preparation and DME coordination.
Important timing note. Plan extra days beyond Day 12. Do not book travel that requires leaving immediately after the class.

Days 1–3
General Prep
Build the foundation for the FAA General written exam.
Day 4
General Written Exam
Written exam at Manhattan Technical College.
Days 4–6
Powerplant Prep
Shift into Powerplant systems, knowledge and review.
Day 7
Powerplant Written Exam
Written exam at Manhattan Technical College.
Days 7–9
Airframe Prep
Prepare for the Airframe written exam.
Day 10
Airframe Written Exam
Written exam at Manhattan Technical College.
Days 10–11
Hands-On O&P Prep
Practice the oral and practical stage with instructor guidance.
Final testing
O&P with the DME
Coordinated through the MAS DME network: on-site, Salina or Wichita.


Reserve a seat
A $500 deposit unlocks LMS access.
The deposit reserves a seat and unlocks early LMS access. Deposits are non-refundable because DME availability is secured 3–4 months out. A seat is guaranteed only after a deposit or full payment.
Affirm pay-over-time is available.
Initial DME fee is included; retest fees are not.
Important boundary
Prep is not eligibility.
Bring your pathway
Students may qualify through an FAA Form 8610-2 endorsed by the FSDO, Part 147 AMTS graduate documentation or a JSAMTCC Certificate of Completion.
The FAA decides
At a high level, the experience pathway is 18 months for one rating or 30 months for both. The FAA makes the final eligibility decision.
